Hyundai’s SEVEN Concept makes Canadian Debut

HYUNDAI AUTO CANADA DEBUTS SEVEN CONCEPT

The 2023 Canadian auto show circuit kicked off in Montreal, and Hyundai eagerly debuted its SEVEN Concept vehicle. Since the last Montreal Auto Show, more than two years ago, Hyundai has made significant advances in the areas of design, power generation, technology, connectivity and safety across its entire vehicle lineup.

Hyundai Canada concluded 2022 with annual total sales volume of 112,559 deliveries.

Hyundai’s electric fleet displayed strong showings of 23,231 units sold in 2022 which represented 20.63 per cent of the total vehicle sales for the year. Among these, HEV sales were 9,997, PHEV sales amounted to 2,552 deliveries, and the all-electric vehicle sales, which include the IONIQ 5 and Kona EV accounted for 10,702 deliveries.

SEVEN Concept: A glimpse into Hyundai’s future design and technology direction

A preview of Hyundai’s future sport utility electric vehicle (SUEV), the SEVEN Concept is a clear representation of Hyundai’s commitment to carbon neutrality by 2045 and its unique interior embodies Hyundai’s future vision of autonomous mobility. Thanks to its versatile E-GMP platform, the SEVEN Concept will be able to provide an outstanding estimated driving range of up to 483 km and ultra-fast charging capabilities, delivering a driving experience tailored to customers’ needs.

The interior leverages the E-GMP’s long wheelbase and flat platform floor to create an innovative, lounge-like interior that explores an alternative to the traditional row-based seat arrangements, creating a more fluid interior layout. The flexible space and customizable seating arrangements for driver-controlled or autonomous driving modes offers greater freedom for customers than ever before.

The SEVEN Concept uses various eco-friendly materials including bio-paint on the exterior and hygienically-recycled and renewable materials throughout the interior. Mineral plaster, bamboo wood and carpet, bio resin and interior paint are based on renewable sources that can reduce pollution from the production process.
