Rethinking Tradition
Inspired by Bentley’s grand tourers, the collaboration with Bentley prompted The Macallan to rethink traditional whisky bottling methods. The product disrupts conventions with a horizontal vessel featuring a unique 180-degree twist, reflecting the daring elegance of the automotive world. Paying homage to The Macallan’s six pillars foundation stones, the sculpture incorporates six sumptuous materials.
Every element, intrinsic to both brands, is meticulously curated and evokes luxury and sophistication. The distinctive glass capsule is hugged by a copper frame lined with the finest leather. The aluminum ribbon is a reminiscing of Bentley’s sculptural bodywork. An inlay of oak wood crafted from one of the six casks used in the maturation, rest on the closure. It is inspired by the aesthetics of the Bentley Drive Dynamic Control rotary dial. The piece of art is finished with Bentley’s Crown Cut Walnut veneer, a specification meticulously developed for its vehicles.

This complex and bold single malt Scotch whisky is distilled from six first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks.
