Acura WINS Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2)

In a thrilling finale, Louis Deletraz clinched victory over Sebastien Bourdais in Sebring’s iconic race. Transitioning from second, Deletraz persisted, eventually overtaking Bourdais with minutes to spare. Despite tense exchanges, Deletraz emerged victorious by a narrow 0.891 seconds margin.

Lexus WINS GTD PRO

Despite early setbacks, Jack Hawksworth’s prediction proved true, securing a thrilling victory at Sebring. Hawksworth’s daring move past Daniel Serra with 20 minutes remaining sealed the GTD PRO class win. Vasser Sullivan’s redemption after a rough start to the season was celebrated by Hawksworth and co-drivers. With seconds ticking away, Hawksworth’s champion’s effort secured victory, overcoming challenges with skill and determination. Hawksworth’s foresight and team effort led to a triumphant finish despite penalties and challenges.

Mercedes Claims Another GTD WIN

Despite starting from nearly last, the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 secured its second consecutive class win. After a disqualification in qualifying, the Winward team showcased resilience, overtaking competitors with strategic moves.

Facing stiff competition, co-drivers Ellis, Ward, and Dontje navigated challenges to secure victory by a slim margin. Throughout the race, competitors like the Cetilar Ferrari and Vasser Sullivan Lexus fiercely contested for the lead. In the end, Winward’s strategic prowess and skillful driving secured victory by a mere 0.646 seconds margin. Ellis, acknowledging the tough competition, highlighted the team’s vulnerability but praised their resilience.

The next WeatherTech Championship race is the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 20.  GTP and GTD classes will compete in a 100-minute race that airs live at 4:30 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock
