Tesla’s Popular Model 3 Gets Revamped: What You Need to Know!

  • Tesla Model 3 titled “Project Highland” receives improved battery and range
  • Model 3 rear-wheel-drive boasts an estimated range claim of 513km when fitted with 18-inch wheels
  • The battery will be covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty depending on region/country

Tesla has taken the impressive Model 3 and improved overall performance and comfort.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

Performance Update:

  • Range: The 2024 Tesla Model 3 boasts an impressive range, with the base model offering over 300 miles on a single charge. This ensures that range anxiety is virtually a thing of the past, making it a practical choice for daily commuters and long-distance travellers alike.

Tesla’s European website suggests a choice of two models:

  • Standard Range RWD: 513 km of estimated range (WLTP),
  • Long Range AWD: 629 km of estimated range (WLTP)

Details related to the North American market will be released at a later date.

  • Acceleration: Tesla has always been known for its incredible acceleration, and the Model 3 is no exception. Both Tesla 2024 Model 3 can go from 0 to 60 mph in just under 6.1 seconds.
  • Handling: The Model 3’s low center of gravity thanks to its under-floor battery pack provides excellent handling and a smooth, comfortable ride. The steering is precise, and the car feels planted on the road, even at high speeds.  However, we have yet to test the new vehicle for overall comfort.
  • Charging: Tesla’s Supercharger network remains one of the most extensive and fastest-charging networks globally, ensuring that Model 3 owners can quickly top up their batteries during long trips.  Official charging times have not been released, but with North America delivers soon to take place, we’ll update this story than.

Interior Updates

Besides the slight exterior facelift including hood extension, LED lights in the rear and wheel option designs, the interior receives the most updates.

  • Interior faux-leather upholstery has been improved and new perforated, heated and ventilated seats have been added to increase material quality
  • Redesigned dashboard with integrated ambient lighting
  • vents added
  • More sound-deadening materials added throughout the cabin and more acoustic glass
  • Two smartphone charging pads have been added
  • The large central infotainment display screen remains a focal point, but a smaller, 8.0-inch touchscreen has been added to the back of the centre console for rear-seat passengers.  The screen is good for control HVAC system for rear passengers and for watching movies

Final Thoughts

We’re confident the refreshed 2024 Tesla Model 3 will continue to compete with the likes of the BMM iSeries, Mustang Mach-E, Kia EV6, and a host of other all-electric vehicles.

But until Tesla provides a Model 3 for proper testing instead of hiding in the background, we’ll continue to promote other models more often.
