Extreme E Action Doesn’t Disappoint in Finale

In a thrilling Antofagasta Minerals Copper X Prix, Rosberg X Racing secured their second Extreme E title, overcoming a damaged ODYSSEY 21.

Facing adversity, RXR sealed the championship as rivals ACCIONA | SAINZ XE Team retired, missing their chance for a maiden victory.  Veloce Racing triumphed in the final round, securing a top-three finish in the championship, while X44 Vida Carbon Racing claimed the podium in a fierce battle.

In the Redemption Race, No. 99 GMC HUMMER EV Chip Ganassi Racing staged a comeback, securing a season-ending victory after a challenging Round 9.

Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky expressed joy, stating, “This championship is a powerful reminder that with passion and perseverance, anything is achievable.”

Johan Kristoffersson dedicated the win to Kyle LeDuc, reflecting on an intense season and celebrating their second Extreme E Championship.

The Grand Final unfolded with ASXE’s Mattias Ekström leading, but drama ensued as RXR’s Kristoffersson faced challenges, ultimately overcoming a puncture.  Veloce Racing’s Molly Taylor strategically secured the lead, while ASXE’s Laia Sanz faced setbacks, leading to RXR’s championship triumph despite difficulties.

In a dramatic season finale, Rosberg X Racing’s perseverance prevailed, securing a remarkable second Extreme E championship in Chile.
