Rain is in the Forecast But Race Day Should Be Clear!
For the second year in a row, rain is in the forecast for the F1 Canada GP in Montreal. However, also for the second year in a row, Grand Prix Sunday should be clear. Fingers crossed.
Headlines heading into the weekend:
- Alpine F1 confirms Ocon’s driver’s contract will not be renewed for 2024 and beyond. Rumors are circulating that this news now clears the way for Pierre Gasly to resign a new 2-year extension with the struggling French Team. Alpine F1 reserve driver, Jack Doohan to replace Ocon in FP1 and is said to be in strong contention for a race seat in 2025.
- All eyes are now on Haas F1 who is rumoured to be interested in Ocon replacing current driver Kevin Magnussen. Replacing one crash test dummy with another is lunacy to us.
- Red Bull Racing F1 driver, Sergio Perez resigns with the World Championship team. This now confirms both Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda from Red Bull’s B-Team are out of the running.
