Nitrocross, the dynamic American rallycross racing series conceptualized by the legendary Travis Pastrana, has unveiled its latest groundbreaking initiative: the “SIERRA Car” support series. Developed in collaboration with SIERRA Car and Hypercraft, this cutting-edge electric race class signals a paradigm shift in motorsport innovation.
Chip Pankow, Nitrocross General Manager, heralded the partnership as a pivotal moment in the industry’s history. “We’re rewriting the rules of action sports by integrating the most advanced electric vehicle with Nitrocross,” he remarked. “The SIERRA Car support series represents our commitment to delivering unparalleled driving experiences while nurturing emerging talent.”

The partnership’s inaugural showcase, featuring the “SIERRA Echo R-Spec,” will debut at Nitrocross’s 2023/2024 Season Finale in Las Vegas on March 1, 2024. This exhibition-style reveal promises an adrenaline-fueled experience for fans and professionals alike. Renowned drivers such as Robin Shute, Lindsay Brewer, Amanda Sorensen, Ellis Spiezia, and Collete Davis will make appearances.

The SIERRA Echo R-Spec boasts impressive technical specifications, including 306 horsepower, 365 ft/lbs of torque, and a power-to-weight ratio of 4.8 lbs per hp. With a top speed exceeding 100 mph and a 0-60 ETA of just 3.8 seconds, it promises blistering performance on the track. Equipped with Hypercraft’s R-Spec powertrain and SADEV Differential, this vehicle represents the pinnacle of electric race car engineering.
After debuting in Las Vegas, SIERRA Car races at Nitrocross 24/25 in Richmond, VA. The event will include a full field of drivers and teams, injecting excitement into the series.
