Leclerc Secures Ferrari Future: Signed. Sealed. Delivered.

Leclerc’s Commitment to Ferrari Strengthens for the Long Haul

In a pivotal move for the Formula 1 grid, Ferrari and Charles Leclerc have officially inked a contract extension, solidifying the Monegasque driver’s place within the iconic team beyond the conclusion of the 2024 season.

Having embarked on his journey with the Scuderia in 2016 as part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, Leclerc’s ascent to a full-time role with the team in 2019 marked the beginning of a fruitful partnership. Five race victories and an impressive 23 pole positions later, the collaboration is set to flourish for the foreseeable future, as both parties commit to their shared pursuit of the World Championship.

Leclerc expressed his joy, saying, “Knowing that I will wear the Scuderia Ferrari race suit for several more seasons brings me great pleasure. Racing for this team has been my dream since I was three years old.”

The journey, however, is far from sentimental nostalgia, as Leclerc remains focused on the upcoming challenges. “My dream remains that of winning the World Championship with Ferrari,” he added, emphasizing the shared aspirations and achievements that bind him to the team.

In committing to this extended partnership, Ferrari ensures a stability that could prove pivotal in their pursuit of Formula 1 glory, with Leclerc at the helm, steering towards a collective destiny that holds the promise of great times and happiness for their global fanbase.

Leclerc and teammate, Carlos Sainz, who hasn’t extended his contract yet with the team, will unveil Ferrari’s new challenger on February 13.
