Lets face it, having your vehicle stolen, sucks! It’s traumatizing, time consuming to deal with the Police, Insurance brokers etc. By following my simple yet effective steps listed here, you’ll reduce your chances of having your vehicle stolen.
AutomotiveWoman Tips!
– Keep your vehicle locked at all times, even when parked in your own driveway or garage. Make sure all windows are also closed
– Leave keys a minimum of 12ft away from home door, and preferably in an anti-theft signal blocking box
– Purchase a motion activated light (when parked at home)
– Have security cameras installed around home
– APP activated dash board camera
– Use a steering wheel lock or an anti-theft device such as an alarm or engine immobilizer. These devices make it more difficult and time-consuming for a thief to steal your vehicle.
– Park in well-lit areas and in locations with high foot traffic, such as near a busy store or in a parking garage with security cameras
– Avoid parking in high-theft or crime areas
– Don’t leave your keys in the vehicle, even for a short period of time. Also, avoid leaving spare keys in obvious locations such as under the floor mat or on the sun visor
– Install a GPS tracking system, which can help locate your vehicle if it’s stolen
– Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the authorities
By following these simple steps, you can significantly reduce the risk of having your vehicle stolen.
