Genesis G70 Track Day Car – Concept to Reality?

Track Taxi DNA in a G70 Concept

Genesis Motors is shifting gears—fast. The brand, known for its premium sedans and SUVs, is solidifying its commitment to performance and motorsport with another teaser.

Enter, the Genesis G70 Track Day Concept Car. At first glance, this car looks fierce. It wears a ventilated hood, a low-profile aero kit, a rear diffuser, and a fixed wing. But it’s not just for show. Each feature has a purpose—better airflow, improved stability, and sharper handling.

Technically, Genesis hasn’t confirmed performance specs. But there are strong hints at what’s under the hood.

The concept takes inspiration from two existing models. First, the G70 road sedan which offers two different powertrains.  You get either a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3.3L twin-turbo V6. The V6 produces 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.

It’s likely this track concept will feature the more aggressive V6. Genesis hasn’t said yet. But the performance focus makes the V6 feel like the natural fit.

The second influence? The Genesis Track Taxi.

Yes, you read that right. The Genesis Track Taxi offers ride-along experiences at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife. With a pro driver behind the wheel, passengers get a full-speed tour of the iconic 20-kilometre circuit. It’s not for the faint of heart.

That same spirit drives the G70 Track Day Concept. From its sport-tuned suspension to the high-performance brake package, it’s built for real action. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires are wrapped around 19-inch wheels, ready for the corners.

Inside, the look is raw and race-ready. The interior swaps leather luxury for purposeful weight-saving finishes. Track-focused touches are everywhere.  And the steering wheel – Cool AF!

Genesis isn’t stopping here.

This concept represents more than just one car. It signals the brand’s growing commitment to motorsport. A hypercar from Genesis will debut in the World Endurance Championship in 2026. Then, it’ll enter IMSA competition in 2027.  Click HERE for more about the Hypercar.

Genesis is chasing more than lap times. It’s building a performance culture.

Will the G70 Track Day Concept make it to production? Maybe. Maybe not. But if we had to put money on it, yeah, the G70 Track Day Car is coming!  And personally, we can’t wait.
