Formula E Season 10: Misano Debut & Portland Doubleheader

Largest and most Diverse Formula E Calendar in Series History

In a groundbreaking announcement, Formula E (FE) has officially revealed the complete calendar for Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This season will witness the addition of Italy’s iconic Misano World Circuit to the racing lineup, alongside the expansion of Portland to a thrilling doubleheader weekend, setting the stage for a record-breaking 17-race season.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council, in a historic decision, approved Misano as the third new venue, joining Tokyo and Shanghai in the Formula E schedule. This marks a significant milestone as Formula E embarks on its tenth season as the leading all-electric motorsport world championship.

Located near the picturesque Rimini beach resort in the Emilia-Romagna region, the Misano track, renowned in the MotoGP World Championship, will host Formula E on Saturday, 13 April, and Sunday, 14 April. Italian Minister of Sport, Andrea Abodi, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “It is important that Italy welcomes this event that promotes sustainable mobility and has an extraordinary charm.”

Formula E is the first and only sport to be certified net zero

Stefano Bonaccini, President of Emilia-Romagna, added, “Formula E is the first and only sport to be certified net zero carbon since inception and reminds us how the fight against climate change is the priority in this historical moment.”

The Portland International Raceway, after a successful debut last season, will elevate its status by hosting a double-header on Saturday, 29 June, and Sunday, 30 June, just before the highly anticipated London finale on Saturday, 20 July, and Sunday, 21 July.

Alberto Longo, Co-Founder & Chief Championship Officer, Formula E, expressed excitement about the new additions, stating, “Misano will be a great new experience for everyone, while the additional race in Portland signifies our ongoing commitment to the US market alongside the potential for growth in the region.”

CEO of Formula E, Jeff Dodds, emphasized, “Our final Season 10 calendar presents the ultimate challenge for teams and drivers in the second year of the GEN3 race car with the perfect blend of iconic street circuits and established tracks.”
