Fortifying Technological Growth with Sustainable EV Infrastructure
In a move to increase electric mobility, a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charging station assembly plant has emerged in Fort Worth, Texas. The new facility covers 60,000 sq. feet of a 100,000 sq. feet space, signaling a commitment to technology employment in North Texas.

This facility can manufacture over 10,000 EV charging units annually, with plans for a 40,000 sq. feet expansion. Alec Jang, President of Electronics Business Solutions, emphasizes the EV charger business as a growth engine, transforming the company into a smart solutions leader.
The Fort Worth facility assembles Level 2 AC chargers with load management solutions, offering an impressive 11 kW output. Designed for diverse settings, these chargers will be wall-mounted with an optional stand.
From Q2 2024, the plant introduces a Level 3 charger with a connected power bank, providing fast charging up to 175 kW through CCS1 and NACS connectors.
Noteworthy is the plant’s commitment to sustainability, utilizing 100% green power, aligning with its 30-year presence in Fort Worth.
LG’s move into the EV charger market aligns with broader electrification goals. Michael Kosla, Senior VP, emphasizes the factory’s pivotal role in advancing smart, accessible EV charging infrastructure. He anticipates new opportunities for businesses, municipalities, and public spaces to boost America’s EV charging growth.
