Inspired by Fernando Alonso’s Vision
Aston Martin introduces the Valiant, an ultra-exclusive, road-legal, track-focused car.
Developed by Q by Aston Martin, it features a 745PS 5.2-liter Twin-Turbo V12 engine and a bespoke 6-speed manual transmission. Only 38 units will be produced, with deliveries starting in Q4 2024.
The Valiant began as a personal commission by Aston Martin Formula One® driver Fernando Alonso. Inspired by his 23-year career, this car reflects his passion for driving at the limit. “Valour was a spectacular celebration of Aston Martin’s 110th anniversary,” Alonso said. “Valiant is born from my passion for driving at the limit.”
Marco Mattiacci, Aston Martin’s Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer, praised the Valiant. “Valiant is a modern masterpiece,” he said. “It embodies Aston Martin’s commitment to build rare and extraordinary cars for true drivers.”
The car boasts a lightweight all-carbon fiber body and a pared-back interior. It features Multimatic ASV dampers and recalibrated electronics, enhancing track performance. Magnesium, titanium, and advanced 3D printing are used for key components to reduce weight.
Simon Newton, Aston Martin’s Director of Vehicle Performance, highlighted the car’s capabilities. “With Valiant we’ve shifted the emphasis towards much increased track capability,” he said. “We’ve moved the dial in every key area to extract greater performance and deliver more excitement.”
The Valiant will debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Alonso will drive it during a demonstration run. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, emphasized its aggressive design. “Valiant is an extrovert,” he said. “One look leaves you in no doubt of its intentions.”
With its dramatic bodywork and cutting-edge technology, the Valiant is set to become a collector’s item. It combines Aston Martin’s racing heritage with modern performance, offering a unique driving experience.
