New this year, Toyota introduces the Sequoia Limited Nightshade, which brings the bold statement of Toyota’s Nightshade style to the full-size SUV.
Also new, every 2024 Sequoia is exclusively electrified – built around Toyota’s powerful and proven self-charging hybrid electric technology. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain features a twin turbo 3.5L V6 and high-torque electric motors that work together to generate 427 system horsepower, 583 lb-ft of torque, and a 9,000-pound towing rating. Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, Sequoia matches its impressive power with remarkable fuel efficiency. All models feature on-demand four-wheel-drive to deliver power to every wheel when it’s needed while maximizing fuel efficiency when it’s not.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Inside, the Sequoia offers three rows of seating. Eight-passenger models feature a second-row bench, while seven-passenger models replace this with a pair of captain’s chairs. Second-row seats recline and fold down/tumble forward for additional cargo space, while reclining and sliding third-row seats also double as an adjustable cargo shelf system for the ultimate in flexibility. Every row is designed for spacious comfort and innovative versatility. Heated front seats and three-zone automatic air conditioning are standard. Standard interior colour choices, depending on model, include Black, Grey, and Cockpit Red.
A touchscreen display and voice command provide easy access to the Toyota Multimedia system – featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, USB-A and USB-C input and charging port, Bluetooth connectivity, Sirius XM Satellite Radio capability, plus Remote Connect, Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Drive Connect. For the driver, all gauges are in natural sightlines while controls are within easy reach. Standard features include the Toyota Smart Key System with Push Button Start, a power rear door with hands-free kick sensor operation, 12v accessory power outlet, second-row power outlet, and 120-volt / 400-watt power outlet in the rear cargo area.
DRIVER ASSISTED TECHNOLOGY
Every Sequoia also comes with an impressive package of active and passive safety features – headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a suite of active safety technologies and capabilities that supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System 2.5, Blind Spot Monitor System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Brake, Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto-Braking, a backup camera with back guide monitor and camera washer, eight airbags, trailer sway warning system, tire pressure monitor system with auto location, trailer brake controller, hill-start assist control, and an anti-theft alarm system.
