2023 CORVETTE Z06 SETS LAP RECORD AT CANADIAN TIRE MOTORSPORT PARK
Bowmanville, ON – The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has set the new production vehicle lap record on the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) Grand Prix Circuit. Driven by Canadian racing legend Ron Fellows on May 23, 2023, the Z06 with Z07 Performance Package lapped the 3.957 kilometre (2.459-mi.) course in only 1:22.12, making it the fastest production vehicle to ever lap the famed Canadian track.
While the Z06 was created to dominate on the track when it debuted in 1963, the Z06 nameplate has also come to symbolize the perfect combination of track beast and supercar. In it’s 70th year, the 2023 Corvette Z06, the fastest Corvette ever made, represents the culmination of decades of racing heritage and engineering expertise.
The Z06 is set apart by its beating heart – the all-new, hand assembled, 5.5L LT6 engine, the highest horsepower, naturally aspirated V8 to hit the market in any production car, ever.
