- All-New Pagani Utopia makes North America Debut during “The Quail”
- Limited Edition has been sold-out world wide
It was the smoke seen around the around during Monterey Car Weekend – a $2.5 Million dollar all-new Pagani Utopia up in smoke.
How did it happen? As explained by Christopher Pagani, and shared by Road & Track “a guest of the event was touching switches on the inside of the car and set off the engine’s self containers fire extinguishers.”
This is why most automotive manufacturers leave car doors locked during many auto events/shows – Just because you have money, doesn’t necessarily make you the smartest person.
Here are your Pagani Utopia FAST FACTS – Then watch the video!
- The Utopia is the replacement for Pagani’s flagship Huayra model
- Value depends on exchange – $2.1M to $2.5M but if you have to ask, you can’t afford it
- Equipped with a twin-turbo, 6.0-liter AMG V-12 with a true manual transmission or optional 7-speed automatic gearbox
- Power: 864HP with 811 lb-ft., of torque
- Utopia is based around a central monocoque, and made of Pagani’s unique carbon-fiber/titanium blend as used on previous Huayra model, however the bodywork is made from a new type of carbon fibre which increases stiffness without increasing material usage
- Some exterior design elements have been inspired by the Huayra and Zonda models such as the twin stacked rear taillights, the small twin headlights, quad centre exhausts, and teardrop-shaped cabin
- The Utopia’s interior does away with mainstream big screens, in preference for leather, aluminium trim, carbon fibre and true driver gauges and switches
- Large 21” wheels up front and 22” wheels on the rear surround the Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers at the rear.
Only 99 units of the Pagani Utopia will be sold, and all have already been accounted for, but we’re guessing the buyer receiving the “Pagani on Fire” model will receive a rebate.
